Cornucopia 2024

Hastings, NE - November 9, 2024

Zion Classical Academy’s 4th Annual dessert auction is a time to fellowship over a meal and remembering our blessings. In Latin, Cornucopia means “horn of abundance”. Fall decorations and arrangements were abundant with help from A Perfect Gift. Cornucopia began at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, with dinner served to nearly 170 attendees by Well-Sauced BBQ. Once the main course was complete, it was time for tables to bid on desserts donated by local businesses and cake experts. Local auctioneers Travis and Kelly Augustin from Ruhter Auction and Realty kept the auction chant rolling through 27 fantastically crafted final courses.  “The event was a wonderful success that surpassed anything we could have imagined,” says Andrew Adams, principal of Zion Classical Academy, “we deeply appreciate our community’s generosity. From the success of this event, we were able to meet our annual match total of $75,000 from the Thom/T-L Foundation.”

Zion Classical Academy plans to continue the tradition in 2025. The Cornucopia Dessert Auction occurs in early November following harvest. If you are interested in more information, please email us at principal@zionclassical.org.
